A special shout out to Wizards by the Sea for their support of the Pirate Festival. They stock, amongst many other things, fantastic pirate pens by the very talented Westwood Crafts who are kindly donating 20% of all pen sales to us.

Thanks to a successful application we were awarded a Visit East Yorkshire Small Events Grant. Visit East Yorkshire is an official Tourism Site providing information on what to do and where to stay in East Yorkshire. Please visit their website for a wealth of information.

The Sir James Reckitt Charity is a registered grant making charity founded by endowment in 1921. Its principal object is to support charitable causes which serve the public benefit, particularly in Kingston upon Hull and the county of East Yorkshire; and also those associated with the Society of Friends. They provided us with a grant to support the 2025 Withernsea Pirate Festival.

Withernsea Lions are part of Lions International. The association is made up of 1.4 million members in 49,000 clubs who bring hands and hearts to the communities they serve in nearly every country on earth. The Lions and Leos help hundreds of millions of people every year. They helped us with a substantial donation.

The Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB) is one of the largest fraternal movements in the United Kingdom, The order started in 1822 and has since spread throughout the former British Empire and elsewhere in the world. It is known as the “Buffs” to members. Withernsea Buffs made a very much appreciated donation towards the festival.

Withernsea Town Council. Kindly provided the use of Valley Gardens venue for the Pirate Festival. The help and advice of the Council staff, Mayor and many of our local Councillors is greatly appreciated.

Pirate Plunder is an independent title published thrice a year in May, August and November for The Pirate Brethren of the British Isles. It aims to encourage the fund- raising activities of pirate crews by promoting pirate festivals and other events where charitable pirates are to be found
