The Withernsea Pirate Festival is a jolly good time for all ye landlubbers and sea dogs alike! Here be the details:
- Date: July 19, 2025
- Time: From 11.15am to 10:00 PM
- Location: Valley Gardens, Withernsea HU19 2DN
This swashbucklin’ event be filled with pirate-themed fun for the whole family. Here’s what ye can expect:
- Pirate Parade: Don your best pirate attire and join our own scallywag Jack Sparrow at the Castle Café at 11.15am on the morning of the festival where we will gather on the steps of pier towers for a few photos. We then plunder our way around town and back to Valley Gardens where a couple of mini marauders will be crowned king and queen before the entertainment starts at noon.
- Games: Sharpen yer cutlasses and prepare for some pirate challenges!
- Stalls: Explore the market stalls, where ye might find treasures or perhaps a parrot or two.
- Music: Listen to sea shanties and lively tunes that’ll make ye dance a jig.
- Pirate Fancy Dress: A swashbuckling good time for participants of all ages and abilities. With categories spanning from the tiniest buccaneers in children’s age groups to the most seasoned adult pirates, everyone can join in the fun. Don’t forget the four-legged mates and those with mobility aids. See below for categories.
- Food and Drink: Satisfy yer hunger with hearty pirate fare and quench yer thirst with grog (or maybe just some lemonade).
So gather yer crew, don yer finest eye patch, and set sail for the Withernsea Pirate Festival! Yo ho ho!
